ESCAPE RECORDS AND THE NEON TEAM UP TO GIVE AWAY 1,000 TICKETS FOR NEWPORT-GWENT RESIDENTS
Escape Records in partnership with The Neon are giving away 1,000 tickets to their signature Party in the Park event taking place on Sat 7th August 2021. Residents of a NP postcode will be able to claim up to 1000 via www.escaperecords.co.uk/newport-ticket-giveaway from Wednesday 28th July.
Escape Records previously known as Climax Live have a long history of putting events on in Newport with Party in the Park, Colour Clash and this year the addition of Feeder and The Festival of Comedy. This year’s Party in the Park will see performances from Boyzlife, S Club Party, Kelly Llorenna, East 17, DJ Ironik, Phats and Small, Chico, The UB40 experience, The Marley Experiences and Big Macs Wholly Soul Band.
Having started 15 years with the carefree attitude of youth, the Escape records team have evolved into turning their creation into something more purposeful. The creation of their DJ academy to support and bring through the next generation of music talent in Wales, a range of charitable and project work most recently supporting the building of a home in Cambodia. However, it’s now time to give back to the community that has long supported them.
16 months ago the team opened an offer to the hardworking NHS staff to give free entry to Party in the Park and still feel this was an important thing to do to give back. However, we were not to know at the start of this pandemic that over a year later we would still all be suffering the effects of this global pandemic.
Mark Hopkins, Director of Escape Records explains further, “Newport is our home. It’s where our co-founder grew up, where he and his family live and is close to all of our hearts. We have seen first-hand how difficult it has been for everyone in our city. So, we have made the decision to give back to the city when it needs it most. By offering Newport and its wider community to claim a FREE ticket to event so they can celebrate being reunited with the music, friends and most importantly family. This day is for the city and all of you wonderful people who call it home. Join us and celebrate our wonderful NHS and our freedom.”
Chief Vision Officer, Adam Gore adds, “Escape Records is about bringing people together through music and to improve all lives. We are always looking to do something different to make sure we’re not just another event promoter or label. We pride our self’s on being the team behind the smile and this occasion we’re hoping to put more smiles on the residents of Newport and beyond”
The Neon has established itself as a creative hub in Newport, offering live shows, club nights, rehearsal space and recording studio to the local community. Andy Byers from The Neon adds “Since Neon opened in 2016 we have continued to support Newport and the South Wales community, and after the last year and a half being closed we are excited to be opening our doors once again, and how better than to offer these tickets in collaboration with and friends at ESCAPE Records, as a way of giving back to the community for their continued support throughout the COVID 19 pandemic – “Lets Party Like We Remember How To”
Escape Records officially launched on 17th May. The Escape team has undoubtedly established themselves as the leading event promoters in Wales over recent years, launching and firmly establishing four festivals across the country; Inside Out, Colour Clash, Party at The Park and Escape, each with capacities ranging from 5000 to 20000 people, with a huge new game-changing festival all set to be unveiled soon.
The collective has always strived to surround themselves and work with an array of amazing and creative people that are the heartbeat of what the brand stands for. Escape Records was very much a vision for the future, but after the enforced 2020 fallow year because of the pandemic, it now takes centre stage, as bold new challenges await whilst the team work on some very special new projects to be announced very soon.
